Bet Types

Win

The greyhound or dog you have selected must finish first. The minimum bet is $2.

Place

The greyhound or horse that you have selected must finish first or second. The minimum bet is $2.

 Show

The greyhound or horse you have selected must finish first, second or third. The minimum bet is $2.

Across the board

A customer may ask to place a wager across the board on a greyhound/horse. This means that they want their selection to win, place and show.

Example: $2 WPS on the 8. 

Daily Double

Daily double wagers are bet over two races (usually consecutive races but there are some exceptions). You must select the winning greyhound in both race one and two. Daily double wagers must be placed prior to the running of the first race. Minimum bet is $2.

Quinella

You must select the two greyhounds that finish first and second. The dogs you have selected can finish first and second in any order. The minimum bet is $2.

Quinella Box

You must select three or more greyhounds that you think have the best chance of finishing first and second .If two of the runners you have selected finish first and second you will collect the quinella payout. The total cost of the bet has to be at least $2.

Quinella Wheel

Select the dog that you think has the best chance of coming first or second in the race. Then ask to quinella wheel that dog.

Exacta/Perfecta

You must select the first two finishers in the race in exact order.  For example, if you play a 3-2 perfecta, the #3 greyhound must finish first and the #2 must run second.  $2.00 minimum wager.

In horse racing this type of bet is called an exacta. In greyhound racing this type of bet is called a perfecta.

Trifecta 

You must select the three greyhounds that finish first, second, and third in exact order. $2.00 minimum.

$1 Trifecta Box

You must select three (or more) greyhounds you think have the best chance of finishing first, second and third.  Because this is a multiple wager, the greyhounds can finish in any order.  If three of the greyhounds you have boxed finish first, second and third, you are a WINNER.  The $1 Trifecta Box pays one-half the $2 Trifecta price. 

$1 Trifecta Key

You must select the key greyhound that you think will win and then select two (or more) others that you think have the best chance of finishing second and third, in either order.  The $1 Trifecta Key pays one-half the $2 Trifecta price.

ALSO NOTE:  You may also "Key" a greyhound in the second or third position.  The "Key" greyhound must finish in the exact position specified, the others must complete the Trifecta, in either position.

 

Superfecta

You must select the greyhounds or horses that finish first, second, third or fourth in the exact order. Minimum wager is $2.

 

$1 Superfecta Box

You must select the four (or more) greyhounds or horses you think have the best chance of finishing first, second, third and fourth.  Like the $1 Trifecta Box, the $1 Superfecta Box pays one-half the $2 Superfecta price.

 

4 Greyhounds - 24 Combinations       $24.00

$1 Superfecta Key

You must select the "Key" greyhound you think will win and then select three (or more) others that you think have the best chance of rounding out the Superfecta.  The $1 Superfecta Key pays one-half the $2 Superfecta price.  Total costs:

Pick 3

A pick 3 is ran over three consecutive races. You must select the winning greyhounds or horses in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd leg of each Pick-3.  All wagers must be made before the running of the 1st leg.  $2.00 minimum.

 

Pick 4

A pick 4 is ran over three consecutive races. You must select the winning greyhounds or horses in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd 4th leg of each Pick-4.  All wagers must be made before the running of the 1st leg.  $2.00 minimum.


Twin Trifecta

This type of wager only applies to greyhound racing. The Twin-Tri is a carryover pool.  50% is paid out in race 11.  The rest is carried over to race 13.  To play it you pick the first three greyhounds that you think will finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd in exact order in the 11th race.  If you have a winning ticket, you will receive the payoff and a free exchange ticket to play race 13. Your picks must finish first, second and third in exact order in race 13.  If no one correctly picks the 13th race order of finish, the Twin Tri jackpot will be carried over to the next performance.  Carryover jackpots will be capped at $100.000.  The jackpot will be forced out every Saturday night.  Twin-Tri tickets are sold only in multiples of $2.00.  Should you fail to cash your 1st half winner before the running of the 13th race (2nd half), you will receive your first half payoff, but forfeit your chance at the jackpot.


Tri-Super

Trifecta-Superfecta). This is a wager combining a trifecta selection in the 5th race (1st half) and a superfecta selection in the 7th race (2nd half).  50% of the Tri-Super pool is paid out in the 5th race.  The remaining 50% is carried over to the 7th race.  Order your Tri-Super ticket(s) from the teller in the 5th race, selecting the first three finishers in order of finish (trifecta) in the 5th race.  If you have a winning ticket, you cash it and make your free superfecta selection (first four finishers in exact order of finish) for the 7th race.  Holders of winning tickets on the second half of the Tri-Super collect part of the poll plus the jackpot pool carried over from previous Tri-Supers.  Carryover jackpots will be capped at $250,000.  There will be no force payout, jackpot will remain until hit.  Should you fail to cash your 1st half winner before the running of the 7th race (2nd half), you will receive your 1st half winner before de running of the 7th race (2nd half), you will receive your 1st half payoff but forfeit your chance at the jackpot.
